Patricia L. McIntosh Takes Young Readers on a Fun-Filled Journey to the Farm
Unique art, adorable characters and a catchy narrative await in new storybook
Dunkerton, Iowa – (Release Date TBD) – Patricia L. McIntosh, author of What's in our Community?, presents a new storybook that sparkles with her trademark hand-drawn illustrations and catchy descriptions. What's on the Farm will introduce readers to some of the people and animals that make up farm life.
McIntosh has been using her love for art to bond with her grandchildren. Her passion to reach out to them resulted in two books, What’s in our Community and What’s on the Farm. The latter is based on her experience living on a farm and raising a family there. Using a simple yet captivating narrative, McIntosh lets readers meet a host of adorable characters that live on the farm—including a family of horses, cows and ducks. The uniquely beautiful illustrations that accompany the story are created using a careful technique known as “stippling”.
“The drawings leave room for the child to use their own imagination to fill in the dots as they enjoy the book,” says McIntosh.
Fun and informative, What's on the Farm is a welcome addition to any collection of children’s books. It is a wonderful celebration of the art of storytelling and the vibrancy of a child’s imagination.
